Mathematics has no generally accepted definition. There is not even a consensus on whether maths is an art or a science. Some just say, “Mathematics is what mathematicians do. The term “mathematics” is often shortened to “maths” in informal American speech and “maths” in British English. Through the use of abstraction and logic math developed from counting, calculation, and measurement. And the systematic study of the shapes and motions of physical objects. And also includes the study of such topics as quantity, structure, space, and change.

Elementary maths was part of the education system in most ancient civilizations. It Included Ancient Greece, the Roman Empire, Vedic society, and ancient Egypt. And also it is essential in many fields, including natural science, engineering, medicine, finance, and the social sciences. So that it is also called as queen of all sciences… mother of all sciences… the language of the universe… It is one of humanity’s most noble endeavors to understand the universe we live in. And that would not be possible without maths.

Maths arises from many different kinds of problems. At first, these were found in commerce, land measurement, architecture, and later in astronomy.  It can be subdivided into the study of quantity, structure, space, and change (i.e. arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and analysis) Pure math, Applied math, Statistics, and other decision sciences, and Computational Mathematics.
